Balourdet Quartet + Adam W. Sadberry (flute)

January 25, 2026

Balourdet Quartet — an award-winning Boston-based ensemble formed in 2018 at Rice University — joins forces with flutist Adam W. Sadberry in a collaboration that brings together exceptional chamber artistry with a vibrant, lyrical wind voice. The Quartet has garnered prestigious awards including the Grand Prize at the 2021 Concert Artists Guild Competition, along with top honors in competitions like Fischoff, Premio Paolo Borciani, and Carl Nielsen.

Adam W. Sadberry is acclaimed as a powerful, expressive flutist, previously serving as principal flutist in major orchestras (e.g., Detroit, Memphis). He’s also celebrated for his commitment to education and inclusion and was named one of the Washington Post’s “23 Artists to Watch”. Their collaboration blends the rich, emotive textures of string quartet with the radiant expressiveness of the flute—yielding performances that are both intimate and expansive.
